Community Supported Market
CitySeed's Community Supported Market (CSM) delivers farm-fresh produce from the Fair Haven and the Hill Market directly to community members, while supporting the viability of a farmers’ market in a low-income, culturally-rich neighborhood.
CitySeed's Community Supported Market is an opportunity for community members—including SNAP and WIC recipients—to access fresh, healthy produce from local farms during the market season. Shareholders receive a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from the farms at the Fair Haven and the Hill Markets. Fresh baked bread can also be added to share orders.
The 2011 Fair Haven CSM runs from July 14 – October 27th and the Hill market from July 1st – October 28th. Individual shares are available for pick up on Thursdays at the Fair Haven Market from the hours of 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm starting July 14th and at the Hill Market on Fridays between the hours of 12:30 pm- 2:30 pm. Market Shares cost $13 per week. SNAP and WIC benefits can defray share costs.
